Well, episode 1 done. The MC seems less moppy than the average 90s MC. I find strange that he was A-Ok with people dying in a train accident but then goes into a bloodpiercing scream when he sees a tank getting blow up. I assume the idea was that he was shocked about going outside to look for help and instead finding a battlefield, but it sure felt like a non-sequitur. Then he starts flirting with the girl she finds and seems like the entire deal about finding help for his friends is totally erased from his mind, the same as the "fear" for the war happening around him. Overall I like how it looks but the tone and the characters are all over the place. May continue later.
