The studio wants the show to be "fun", but they have zero capacity for actual sakuga, interesting choreography or delicate adapation of the drama, so what did they do? They resort to making the story """"fun"""" for the domestic Japanese watcher by leaning into that "relatability" and "cliche comedy" garbage that doesn't even need to be funny as long as it is familiar. That is why they are boosting the "waifu"/ "sooooo kawaii" appeal of the elf, the dopeninninkillah, and that insufferable dragon pet(VA Nanachi). The entire composition has been overhauled to fit the supa cheesy tres cringe isekai template. While I do not care about his feelings, like, he shoould "turtle that" himself, but imagine the absolute feel....or despair when your work is assimilated! Shouldn't you guys be angry at this than over localizers taking too much liberty?
