Digimon has better anime.Digimon has better games.
Pokemon is a good lighthearted show, but I can't imagine purposely watching hundreds of episodes of it.

Pokemon anime was only good & unique when Ash was in the show. As soon as he left, it became a generic wish fulfillment fantasy where the world bends to MC's will.

Remember that each Digimon species has seven evolution and various fusion while most pokemon does not even has a third stage. Not to mention , WarGreymon is exclusive to Taichi especially on Adventure verse while there are three trainer in JN series with Dragonite. So even if a Dragonite can reach the level of mega level Digimon as shown on PokeSpe, he does not feel unique to the main trainer since many people has Dragonite.
