OP is autistic, but there is a point to be made that if you can swap out the isekai premise for an amnesia premise and basically nothing changes, then it was a superfluous element. The thing to keep in mind is that this doesn't make the amnesiac version better. It's just indicative of the level of contrivance the author is operating at to get the ball rolling. It's also worth keeping in mind that this isn't actually super common. Most slop isekai does engage with its premise at least superficially with the MC having preconceptions or genre awareness, or using his modern knowledge to invent shit.

Starting location is an Empire that previously fought and lost against some AI machines they built but are allowed to pretend to run things still as the AIs became human shippers.In the WN he recently visited something along the lines of a psyonic fallen empire who spends all their effort fighting the extradimensional creatures that are invading as they accidentally almosted ended the universe a few centuries earlier by messing with the Shroud too much. This is also why Isekai men keep falling down dimensions and ending up in the universe.

Making another universe or going to a different dimension, are available gameplay goals. Beings falling in from other dimensions is one of the Crisises. Is that all "winking at the isekai" too?
