how and why is almost every popular anime series from shonen jump? how did they do it? if an anime gets popular outside japan there is basically a 90% chance it's a shonen jump series. It was true in 90s and 2000s when I was growing up and it's true today (though maybe less so, stuff like JJK/YNK/CSM/OP is still extremely popular). As much as the elitists on this board will shit on me for saying it, I'm very confident without shonen jump 90% of the posters on this board wouldn't even be here, there's a good chance /a/ would not even exist. Outside of japan I bet there is more worldwide discussion of SJ series than the rest of animanga combined. is it even close?
