He's the "Knight of the Swan" and his love interest is Duchess Elsa von Brabant. According to some versions he gets powers from the Grail but must never tell Elsa his true name or he loses his powers/is forced to leave. Kardeiz is the twin brother of Lohengrin. He's a minor character, the only details are that "he inherits their father's secular lands" while Lohengrin becomes the Grail King.
