I missed the 'timing' to talk about Gaoh Mukaku last thread but I just wanted to talk about how absurd his backstory is. So his grandfather, who is fine with things like acts of terrorism, eugenics, and brainwashing but draws the line at cloning for whatever reasons. And he is friends with Shen who is starting to mess with cloning. So his first thought is rather than contact Shen and have a conversation about why cloning is bad, to instead invite Shen over and then try to assassinate him with his clan of a hundred kung fu monks. Shen kills the monks, and then ask what the fuck was that all about, to which the grandfather says brainwashing is cool but cloning is going too far before killing himself despite being given the option to live. Mukaku is here and starts seething against Shen, joins a worm cell and invents the Advance and ambushes Shen and gets his ass kicked.So after getting his ass kicked, he goes to Japan, finds a bunch of orphans and teaches them kung fu with the intent of getting revenge not on Shen, but on the kid who will get brainwashed by the guy who gets brainwashed Shen. Not the Shen who killed his clan and kicked his ass, but the schizo who gets brainwashed by the schizo who gets brainwashed by Shen. However, because Shens apparently don't breathe, instead of targeting the schizo Shen two generations later as planned he fights against the schizo Shen from the next generation. And then right as he dies the narrator goes WHO KNOWS WHY MUKAKU CHALLENGED SHEN, DID HE DESIRE THE TITLE OF THE STRONGEST, as if we didn't just spend a chapter about his grudge against Shen.

The imperfect clones get tossed out into the real world besides Luohan who works under Shen and two other clones that literally ENTER and EXIT the story immediately because they were designed to get fed to Luohan, Ohma and Ryuki and nothing else There's also the Kure's Western Cousins, The Westward Wu, who do this Huisheng thing to keep the direct ancestor of theirs and the Kure alive, Wu Hei, but the Huisheng is treated like an sin against God and Wu Hei jobs to death at the hands of Raian and Erioh like 4 times because the Westwards Huishenged a bunch of guys into thinking they're Wu Hei. For some reason the Wu Hei thing gets treated like some nonsense that doesn't work while Shen is "Shen", it's weird
