I was wondering as to how broad Aki Toyosaki's vocal range is. Her Uiharu/Yunyun voice is right on the high end, and a role like Altair from Re:Creators is a lot deeper. She's got some good range, but her squeaky voice is much more common. If Uihana is confirmed and Aki has to voice both roles, then she could definitely pull off a much deeper Aihana voice that can be distorted to more or less the point of unrecognisability.
It's uncertain if Nagai wants to do that or just mash some random voices together for the distorted voice. Japanese anime detectives will figure out the voice pretty quickly if it is Aki Toyosaki and blow the whole charade.
Whether the Aihana mystery survives a single animated scene is very much up in the air.

Aihana is never in control when the flowers are on her head. I don't think there's really been an instance when she was wearing a skirt but not the flowers, let alone with Saten present. At this point, Aihana is more or less confirmed to be a level-5 precog of some form. Academy City was definitely using them to extract future predictions to advance their own plans. As Aihana reached level-5, their precog became more farsighted and advanced, and they learned that the world was utterly fucked if shit was going to continue further the way it is, and Aihana was the only one who could see it. Academy City wasn't going to listen, and only wanted the selfish shortsighted win of controlling them, so Aihana went rogue and, knowing that nobody can be trusted, scrubbed their identity from every database in AC (except Reading Thoth 78). Aleister knows who Aihana is, and maybe Shokuhou, but that's probably it.
Aihana has basically been putting in the legwork behind the scenes setting shit up to ensure that the world doesn't prematurely implode. A lot of Index's happy endings were assisted by Aihana in some way, especially those involving Hamazura, since it's implied in ITEM that Aihana was already laying the groundwork last year for him to become the third hero.
Aihana's precog tells them what's going to happen under what conditions, and they use that information to elevate people into heroes who act according to what will ensure the good timeline happens.

Uiharu seems pretty innocent about a lot of shit so I doubt she's generally conscious when Aihana's in charge and up to nasty Dark Side's Bane shit. When she gets embarrassed like hell, she can't hide by cloaking or use any blatant level-5 power because Mikoto's there so she has to rawdog the ignominy the whole time.

Luckily for Aihana I think she might be able to get away with it. If Mikoto's dumb enough to not figure out that magic exists by this point, then I think that she won't be figuring out who the number 6 is any time soon.

Shokuhou probably knows though (she correctly identified a fake Aihana in NT7, and she's also been inside Uiharu's head before. Hell, she might have personally helped Aihana by eliminating witness memories). If Shokuhou is also present for this sequence, then she can simultaneously fuck with both Mikoto and Aihana at the same time, constantly ragebaiting Mikoto the normal way and Aihana by teetering close to revealing something with her wording. Aihana is going to be fucking traumatised if she manages to make it out of that with her psyche intact. She'll leave Uiharu to her own devices and take a few days off to mentally recover.

Not really. Index's main problem is that it has been incredibly slow to adapt anything to visual media. Not many new people watching ITEM will be easily onboarded into a series that is 75% light novels. When it comes to the main series, 2/3rds of the anime content was aired between late 2008 and early 2011, then a long wait to a faulty season 3 and then nothing with nothing on the horizon. Even sadder still, the manga has been running since 2007 and has not even caught up to the anime.
There is no momentum in adapting Index. Outside of Railgun spinoffs it is basically a dead franchise visually and Railgun ended. If they want to jump start Index, ITEM alone won't do it, they need to start adapting main series shit fast if they want it to be popular outside of books.

Aihana's level-5 precog showed them that every single branching future going forward led to Touma dying and the world being doomed without him. Aihana's ability cannot observe Touma's future directly due to IB's interference, so they have to watch the future timelines surrounding him to figure out what's going on. When Touma's dead in every future, that's easy to do.
Aihana knew that shit was going to be absolutely fucked if Touma died, and every single possible future that Aihana foresaw led to Touma dying. Therefore, in desperation, Aihana's only option was to go for the only future their power WASN'T able to see - ie meeting Touma directly and offering the #6's power.
This is the absolute last thing that Aihana wanted to be doing. They'd much rather set up some other hero to fix shit, or build a convoluted fate rube goldberg machine that ensures shit will be sorted out in the end. It was a last ditch hail mary that Aihana hated every single second of.
Aihana was massively out of their element here. It's the one scenario where they doesn't know for certain how to win, and that terrified the fuck out of them. Aihana hates Touma because his winging it mentally (opposite to Aihana's) keeps working, and IB punches a Touma-sized hole in Aihana's precog that prevents it from being complete and infallible.
Touma trusts his gut 100%. Aihana trusts their planning 100%. They're incompatible opposites. The very existence of the other's mindset that they foolishly over-rely on pisses them both off.
