Am I the only one that found this boring, depressing, and the plot contrived, all at the same time?
I wish I had never watched this, and if I knew the misery porn guy made this, I probably wouldn't have.

I like the manga. It's fun. Punpun is overrated as fuck but all his others works are good.

The manga isn't that great, but the anime is garbage that kills the few redeeming points.
After I read the manga I was disappointed and looked around for opinions out of curiosity. I found quite a few people praising it as Asano's best work yet. Very perplexing. Punpun is overrated and bugs me for a lot of similar reasons, but I think it was a more fun experience. Maybe his style is just worse the second time around. Though I'd think this was the second time for the majority of other readers as well.
