The manga changed them to fit modern day usage.But the novel actually uses archaic pronouns, non standard kanji and older verb classes at times. It'll be a nightmare to translate. Devilman got an organic lift, due to being published the same year as the Crybaby anime. Otherwise, the types of people that may have bought the classics titles--mostly older anime fans that don't follow manga--consistently seem unaware Seven Seas published Yamato, Kamen Rider, Go Ranger, Cutie Honey, and that crap Lupin collection
