If I’m remembering correctly, it’s because he wasn’t feeding on Runes enough, and constantly using the Valvrave absorbed both his memories and life force as a result.Which all comes from his decision to only feed on L-Elf. Which, while making the fujoshis happy, I can only see as a stupid move. Especially when the latter became emotionally compromised, and he was unable to feed on him, which is also when he started losing the majority of his memories.Honestly, Haruto relying only on L-Elf prevented him from actually growing as a character. But hey, if it makes the fujoshis happy…..
