It's already been pretty heavily implied, but it'll become explicit probably be next episode when they introduce the elders. In fact, it's pretty clear it's because she's been treated so well that she didn't attempt suicide. It's still not a "clean" consent in the strictest sense, and there are a lot of mitigating factors, including destiny all that shit, but the Barbarians provide Sera more agency and respect for her bodily autonomy than her own kingdom does. It really comes down to the fact the barbarians, while not perfect, are by and large the better option Sera has. It's just reverse Pocahontas. Don't think about it too hard.
