Say what you will about Bleach's quality in writing over the years. Naruto and Luffy have NEVER looked even remotely as cool as Ichigo's Mugetsu transformation Kubo designed for him. And Kubo only ever used the transformation once in the entirety of Bleach without ever devaluing it with repeated appearances in the series.
kubo has always been king in the designs, which made it all the more frustrating when Mugetsu turned out to be a one-off thing, and frankly kind of an asspull.Really, ichigo's final bankai was the biggest letdown in terms of design. It looks like a hilariously out of touch OC donut steel mishmash.
>>287651659I never saw the appeal. I get what it is going for with all the black but out of all his transformations, I think it is one of the blandest. And while on average I'd agree Bleach has more "cool" transformations than the other two, Naruto's 4 and 6 tails mode are cooler than anything in Bleach. Being cocooned in your own poisonous blood just appealed to my edgy 14yo self in a way no other design could.
