The original TV broadcast of Tetsujin 28-gou (2004) used Space Oddity as an insert song but it was cut out of the DVD release. Shame because it really added to the scene. Also go watch Tetsujin 28-gou 2004 if you haven't already, it's one of the best giant robot anime of all time.
