So if Sandro establishes that Purgatory is also aiming to become a deal maker like Kengan then there would be an actual threat and a reason for the merger. That's because now powerful foreign companies are united under a single organization and capable of competing or even outcompeting Kengan. The threat now comes from international deals. If deal making through fighting is recognized outside japan and the best fighters have defected because you let the enemy organization grow too large then you're suddenly at a massive disadvantage. You might even see your CEO's defect because of the greater opportunities for networking in Purgatory which turns into a negative feedback loop.
