I hate the CG. There really was no point to it, just a 3D model standing in place with some lame shaky cam and the ocasional zoom. It could have been 2D.Other than that, 10/10 episode. I love how proactive and unhinged Rui is. We got a glimpse of it last ep with the witch antics but her joining the same shady agency, having a TV debut and trapping Lili in a bounded field just to meet her was wild.

I think that a lot about CGI, since in some series with CGI they do have impressive 2D animation still. But for some things it seems a lot of people in the industry today just think it looks better with CGI even if people like you and me disagree. Japan seems to dislike things that are supposed to be rigid not looking as rigid. Like machines. So even if the CGI looks like garbage it does look "rigid", which is what they're looking for. And dancing and stuff is more flowy than normal movement so I guess they think CGI is useful there too, though like I said in a previous post in here, while I thought Lilly's performance looked good they went too choppy for the one in this episode.

And Lulu's performance does look like mostly if not all 2s. Another part of it may be that during Lilly's performance, even when the character model updates on 2s, the background still updates on 1s, which may be why Lulu's performance looks choppy, because the background is also updating on 2s. I hope it was just to somehow look like a TV broadcast to the animators and we get something more like Lilly's in the future.
