Diethard Ried feels like wasted potential when it comes to offering another viewpoint or perspective for the Black Knights. What are some good ways to make use of him in fanfiction?
>>287682687I never liked how quickly he betrayed zero just because schneizel told them about the geass
>>287683010>I never liked how quickly he betrayed zero Wasted potential.
>>287683010>>287683619He was never loyal to Zero or the BKs in the first place and was only motivated by obsessive desire to watch history being made, that’s we he joins with Schneizel when it became apparent he had stolen the initiative from Lelouch and destroyed the legacy of Zero.
>>287683837 Yeah but he would have been better if he wanted to be a real news man seeing what happens on the ground as it happens not trying to forcefully change it but actually report what actually really happened not just be a standing for tabloid or sensationalist media. also would have been nice if we saw a good journalist Integrity from him which is why he left the old system of britannia news And I could have give him a source of good knowledge on how they manipulated the system in britannia.
>>287683893>he would be better if he was a totally different character No lol
>>287683010nah that was foreshadowed long before, Diethard cared more about making a "good story" than he did about actually helping. he only betrayed him because he saw everyone else ganging up, and thought Zero was about to lose. he would have been right, too, if it wasn't for Rolo saving lelouch's ass. he was even initially saying lelouch's geass is a good thing and that it would help their cause
>>287683937In a way, he felt like a wasted role or concept, ending up as the eccentric media guy instead of fulfilling the potential tied to his background, his duty, and how he joined the Black Knights. It would have been fun to see him spar with people like Kallen over the true nature of humanity and why people act the way they do in Britannia. He could still be impressed by Zero’s actions, but it would have been more compelling if that had been the breaking point—making him question why he worked for people so clearly driven by nonsense and lies.
>>287683010>i'm going to help Zero go far>i want to see Zero become a god!>gives Zero a handjob>huh? an audio and some evidence of my enemy? Schnizel is better!>zero, you should never have gone so far! (dies)He was a stupid character
>>287683980He left the Britannians because they were boring, not because he ever had morals. He was always the slimiest member of the BKs running cover for Lelouch’s worst impulses.
>>287683010He thought Zero was finished. His death was lame though. He shat his pants when Lelouch actually won instead of just rolling with it.
