This series is so bizarre. I like the first 3 episodes so far but the tone is just strange. The show seems to hate its own premise and view it as being kind of gross and doesn’t want to play to its strengths. The characters are fun to watch and I’m going to keep watching it but it’s just really odd. It’s almost like watching a challenge run of a video game when you have never played the original before.

Ironically, I’m sure the series would have been more popular and wouldn’t have been axed if it had simply been about a 13 yold hitman experiencing school for the first time, instead of the whole old man. You could have left the rest exactly the same, since being elderly doesn’t really add much beyond the comedy of Juzo adapting to modern times, and you could have gone all out with the romance instead of being so wishy washy about it
