The whole thing with foreign soldiers invading was stupid so I'm glad it didn't last long. But the game only required people to kill each other and most of the people who wanted to fight died already, so I'm not sure where else the game could've gone other than his plan succeeding, which would've been the end of Japan. Pretty sure he didn't want to do that. I don't know what else you were expecting out of the arc. Maybe a second round of visiting the remaining colonies? At the end of Shibuya, if a reader was actually paying attention, it'd be clear that Tsumiki was an incarnated sorcerer. Once Megumi got the points to save her, it made sense that she'd drop the act. Megumi would be useless to the plot at that point because he just wants to save his sister and can't, so it's the perfect opportunity to have Sukuna cash in his pact. Sukuna then got a 40 chapter fight and Kenjaku got rightfully clowned. I can't imagine the final fight going better.

JJK has an oddly small world. There's no fourth year students despite the schools being four years, Kyoto has no teachers and Tokyo only has half what they should, there appears to be about six sorcerers born a year in Japan going by the classes but there's about as many students as there are adults - are sorcerer mortality rates THAT high? Well, that could explain it, but then we find out the Zenin clan has dozens of sorcerers. Not that we see most of them. When Mahito breaks in, he kills a few people, but of course they're not people we've ever seen and they don't have names. Where are all the sorcerers?This is a common problem in battle shounen, though. The world is at stake, but the only people who show up are high schoolers. Somehow you meet all the important people at the start of the story. The world always feels much smaller than the author wants you to believe it is.
