>>287722015i don't believe she's insane. she's empathetic in more of a mechanical sense. she understands that it's wrong to butcher people yet only does so when she has the moral high ground like the bandits in the woods and then the next round of bandits until that fucking elven monk ruined it. she's adapting to a unstable world filled with bandits, fantastical monsters and power hungry demons that can clearly infiltrate human cities. whatever happened between being with her caretaker to the 2nd first class mage exam is just her adapting to a clown world. if anything she's the most sane, she sees the true nature of demons and humanity. she's doing what it takes to get by like she always has and there's no shame in enjoying it as it's clear the gods want people to suffer, enjoy it even. so ubel enjoys it. is it better to be depressed or stressed about impending conflicts or take joy in them? ubel has adapted to the truth of the world.
