Spooky ghost yuri is back from the grave with ch31.Come tell me all you forgot.
When we last left our heroes Michi had smacked Honda and Masaki into making up and resolved herself to tell someone she could see Aizawa. After being repeatedly possessed by Aizawa, Kasumi developed the power to see her too. And we finally learned the identity of the ghost haunting Aizawa's old idol group: Nagi, someone who was "like a sister" to Aizawa. Only now she's out to kill her double dead.Things you should probably recall so this chapter makes a little more sense:>Sayaka has been worried about the ghost hole in Kasumi and was left waiting while she got posssessed again>Sayaka struggles to tell the living world apart from ghosts>Mini Michi is some kind of guardian spirit protecting Aizawa but she's barely clinging on at this point>Aizawa is trapped at school by the AAA mark which was likely left by Michi before losing her memories>Nagi is possessing Ange
But why should I recap when Dorothy can do it for herself.
>>287723090I forgot, but thanks for the great recap, you work too hard.
Dorothy did a double-page 扉絵 as an apology for taking a half year hiatus. But she also calls this the start of the 2nd season of Aizawa-san, the "solution" half after the "question" beginning. So it's a fitting gathering of protags.
Kasumi's vision might be limited to a blurry Aizawa-san, but her irises are full-blown fuzzy now.
It's a Sayaka+Mini Michi chapter btw. Seems like it's the start of an arc about them. A strange look behind the scenes.
What the fuck Sayaka
Since the barrier around school was meant to keep harmful ghosts out, does that make these benign? Weird to see a helpful one.
Standing there all main heroine like.
Aizawa's first speech bubble!
>>287723476Sayaka really feels like she could have been the MC of her own story where helping Michi and Aizawa would be just one of her adventures. But I guess Michi's own protagonist powers are still somewhat sealed, for now.
>>287723627It's hard not to get Satsuki flashbacks with her sometimes.
>>287723648Now this is yuri.
Mini Michi says 霊能者 as れーのーしゃ so I decided her dialogue needs to be a little more childlike.
Aw fuck.Next chapter should be in a few weeks. While Dorothy always takes breaks between volumes, she's consistent otherwise.https://mega.nz/folder/SqoEGRrY#SDVv5jKw1zKuJpLDAyp0mgWorking on Sylph ch36 next. Arisaku is on hiatus until the 14th.
>>287723895Looking scarier than the distorted creatures. Thanks for your work. And good to know we have a date for Arisaku, I hadn't noticed.
Oh damn, i almost forgot about this series, i thought we would never get another update. The confusing mystery is still confusing and mysterious, but let's see what happens. Thanks for dumping OP>>287723219>are those two fu->Shut upkek
>>287723202100 kanojo reference, kino or not?
>>287723202Chibi-Aizawa looking like Puck here.
>>287723219Yes, but phrasing.
>>287723500Sayaka is like Michiru if her not giving a fuck stat was fully maxed.
>>287723648Is this a rerun?
>>287724387>yesWe sure about that? I don't remember if we got hints of what base they're on.
>>287723761>I'm not a ghostI mean, Michi isn't dead, so that should track...
>>287723648The most shocking thing is that someone named Sayaka is the most usefulesbian character in this manga. Absolutely unprecedented.
>>287724551I would normally criticize your lack of media literacy, but Aizawa has a curse that causes people (including readers) to forget, so I refer you to the noighd recap.
>>287724868Sorry I'm getting old, chapter 27 also had this title page.
>>287725009Cute lesbian giraffes.
>>287724561>>287723761I don't remember if you brought it up in the first recap, but could Mini-Michi-chan be something like an embodiment of Michi's missing memories?
>>287723895Any chance Sylph will be posted before the new chapter?
>>287723157I never have trouble keeping track of the school side of the story. but I always slip up when it comes to the delphinus parts.
>>287723090>>287723895Looks like I still remember the important stuff. No need for a re-read.
>>287723090What was Aizawa's personality besides silly idol and gay?
>>287726572It's possible. Mini Michi's connection to Karasuma is interesting. Karasuma seemed to recognize MM back in ch13, while she couldn't identify the AAA mark. So Mini Michi's older than that. And if we believe Karasuma's connection to Michi is through her mom then Mini Michi must be years older. Dorothy really pulled a fast one back in the first volume showing a flashback of middle school aged Michi and then Michi projecting to MM in her sleep. It made her appear to be far less of an independent entity, but I get the feeling it all lines up. If Michi developed her powers in middle school MM could definitely be the embodiment of them, somehow cutting that part of herself off (maybe to avoid trauma) and repeating that trick now which resulted in her memory loss. Mini Michi does act like Michi should be able to see and talk to her normally. Or MM could be some kind of protective spirit that runs in the family. I feel overly fixated on Michi's mom but she has to work into this somehow after that random highlight last volume.>>287727457DeLphi's subplot is sporadic so it's understandable. But I'm dying for more focus on them and hopefully this volume will deliver, with the follow-up to Tear approaching Karasuma over their haunting. There's a lot to unpack between their past and the fallout of Ange and Non.>>287729064It's basically a given she kept her memories. Or at least knows Michi can see her. So it's a miracle she's as optimistic as she is. She's very patient, though she'd have to be to keep up her mature idol persona for a year. And maybe her optimism stems from the sense of freedom she now gained. It's suggested she was led into becoming an idol by Nagi, and you could infer she tried so hard because Nagi died. She's a very attached spirit. The trauma's weighing on her but of course what's stressing her out most is lack of self-control. Honestly while speech would lend us tons of answers I don't think it would change her characterization much.
>>287727168Haha no. Haven't even started it yet and have to go through my usual slump. And I have some semi-related bad news that probably should be shared: Igarashi vented about translations again. For a few days in a row. Specifically in regards to her sketches and the volume extras. She says it's hurting her motivation to draw and she's posted less sketches as a result (which I was already suspecting and fearing). She wants to find some other way to restrict them and frankly I don't want to upload them to mangadex anymore. I know it's meaningless, no change at this point will mitigate the impact on her, but it fucks me up to think I'm hurting an artist like that. I can't help but wonder if the current hiatus is partly a result of this. But it's beyond me at this point. Can't exactly ask everyone to hide the translations on social media; even if I stopped someone else would continue. I feel trapped yet sickened with myself for being egotistical. I dunno I just have to vent too.
>>287730304>doesn't want anyone who can't read Japanese to enjoy her free doodlesAt a certain point you have to stop caring about an artist's autism when it goes too far.
>>287730304It's unfortunate but menhera is immune to logic. Even if you put in a front page telling people they made the mangaka cry by reposting TLs, it's bound to happen. A lot of TL groups actually do this, but they don't actually specify that it's because the author will boxcutter someone otherwise. Most of us aren't really going to care if the extras are on mega only if that's any consolation. I would keep the main chapters on mangadex because that's giving you reach to actually drive sales. Unless she's playing 5D chess in order to psychologically manipulating us gaijins into buying more/shilling official releases harder. Edgy humor aside, most of this comes from a place of ignorance so it doesn't hurt be more in your face to the readers about piracy etiquette.
>>287730304That’s rough to hear. I could understand backing off on the random doodles and whatnot even though they’re always a lot of fun. I guess I can’t understand the mindset of being upset your work is being seen by a larger audience that would have no idea it even existed without the translations. Obviously yes your missing out on sales, but it’s also money you would never have seen anyway because people who can’t read Japanese aren’t going to randomly buy manga for the fuck of it and if anything it’s sales gained when fans buy the Japanese originals to support the artist. Frankly it’s all a lot of mental gymnastics on both sides. I still need to order volume three physically but I think shipping is still kind of shit last I looked
>>287730304It may be too late but for what it's worth after seeing Igarashi's posts I sent a polite DM to the person who was number 1 most guilty of posting the translation (including volume extras) on Bsky right under the author's nose to explain the situation and they understood and deleted their biggest thread which had a non-zero chance of being exactly what set it all off.
