Not that anon, but even the visual direction has many thoughtful flourishes. The staff clearly know the series.

That said, yeah, the animation itself is still rather stiff and sometimes they really cheap out in obvious ways (like the slice marks being just a flat texture, rather than actually having a different model with the outfit torn).

I'm having fun so far. Too bad that it being 3D makes it instantly undisscussable in /a/. Anyway, I'm also glad that it apparently is doing some good numbers in streaming. Maybe they can use the momentum to pivot to full 2D for the next season
