I've just started watching Shiboyugi, and am on episode 5. Given the sound of billiards in the background sometimes, and the main character narrating events as if they already happened my guess is that the last game (the 99th) will involve billiards somehow, and that will be the "present" from which they're narrating, and that they will probably die, or at least think they're going to die. Funny enough I actually paused the first episode during the opening to think about how the sound of billiards was specifically a good choice for ambiance since it evokes a feeling of calmness and casual interaction with a few friends. Also comically I made a note to myself that if I were ever to make an anime (Yes I know it's a "foolish gaijin weeb fantasy") I would try to do something similar for that exact reason, but now I have to wonder if that vibe will be both played into straight, and also completely inverted from all the terms I used to describe it in some sort of a paradoxical way meant to highlight a shift from the characters being mean and negative to being friendly and accepting of their deaths. Probably involving the rivalry between the main character and that other drill haired lesbian. This is my prediction. I intend to finish the show by tonight or maybe tomorrow. It will be fun to see if I was right and come back to this thread. So, what did you think of the show /a/?
>>287727606That will only happen if the director successfully usurps the entire story from the author.
The show was fun but a little too artsy
>>287727606Stop. Go read the manga. The anime is an abortion.
>>287730119To late I just finished also wtf is with pic related? Does long term exposure to whatever drug or nanomachines turn their blood to cotten turn people into full on unkillable zombies? Like the show seems to suggest that it makes you weak/sick over time. But then she just woke up.
