why did this anime go viral in the first place?
>>
I think marketing? There is no reason why this trash would be better than any other anime.
>>
unironically tiktok brought it back with its memes and such
>>
It didn't, and if it did no one cares

A solidly made product with interesting premise, great ost, vibrant style and entertaining characters made by a studio that back then had soul.
What's more interesting is that there were only two seasons and one spin-off of a show that was popular even among normalfags.

Didn't this get big around the same time that social media usage was starting to skyrocket?
>>
gambling manga is always good
>>
>>287733437
It has a weirdly prominent female normie audience for some reason
>>
>>287733437
Probably a mix of the opening and premise

>thighs
>gambling autism game design from the author
>cosplayers
i've read up to vol 10 of the manga and not seen the anime, most of my enjoyment came from reading the descriptions of the games the author came up with and Yumeko's thighs. Im not entirely sure why the male MC is even still in the story.

Because it was fairly successful for being a "remix" of Kaji and Gamble Fish.
But the only thing that the author is good at is jumping bandwagons and making it go viral.
Yet even that is not always the case...
The author also tried to get into isekai (Isekai Barrister) but ended up falling flat because it got axed quite quickly. Then he blamed it all on the isekai sub-genre itself and ""crashed out"" by writing the manga equivalent of revenge-porn (Cheat Slayer), which then ended up being cancelled after the first chapter by his own publisher. Slandering like 6 or so works of his own publisher without any advance notice is kinda stupid.
