And that's it for today And that's it for Cromartie High School Who would have thought that reading a manga about a group of pretty normal and regular high schoolers would be this much funDid you like? Favorite character? Did you like this or Asobi Asobase more if you were here for that daily?I was a huge fan of this manga, I thought it was very clever most of the time and most jokes stuck really well. I admit it did maybe get a little boring near the end, but it never lost its charm and it was pretty consistently funny.Kamiyama was great fun from the very beginning until the end and I think I liked him the most. As much as I did really like it, I admit that I enjoyed the low brow humor of the first part of Asobi more though, though I am a simpleton so it's not surprising.Next time- invalids. Well, one at the start at least. Yankee-kun to Hakujou Girl (Love's in Sight)Thank you for reading Previous thread: >>287590197
>>287748301Thanks OP I enjoyed this one greatly. Everyone (except Maeda, I suppose) got the chance to be a freak in their own right, and there were so many people in so many roles that lives in their own little circles and worlds that the whole setting felt super alive, like Fujimoto really was fuming online right as the core gang was up to some bullshit while the Four Great Ones had another meeting. I liked the more absurd early humour though, like the gorilla taking a phone call, or (my personal favourite joke in the series) Freddie's horse rampaging on the train. I'll also say that I really appreciated the willingness to play shit for long, like Hayashida getting isekai'd, or the sumo arc. Out of everyone, though, I'd have to give my favourite position to Kamiyama, whose bullshit and weird quasi-banchou status never got old. Also, Nonaka himself was great, and his open lack of interest in wider manga, and his semi-disdain for the magazine and readership gave the series its unique flavour. I'll give this one the edge over early Asobi Asobase, and the vast lead over late Asobi Asobase See you next time
>>287748301Thanks OPthe planet of the apes was my favorite part
Ok but what do they let a fucking robot in?
Mecha-latta~~~
>>287747621>The EndNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>287748301Thanks for dumping, OP!It's been a fun ride. I'm getting off here but hope I'll see you and every other Anon here in a future dump.
>stuffs
>>287747934lmao
>>287747934
>>287748301It was a lot of fun, thanks OP for everything!
>>287747934top kek
Thanks, OP! I'm sad it's over already, even if it went downhill near the end.
it's over
>>287748011Lol
>>287747934>>287748301The first honest to god 10/10 ending I think I've seen since Neuro. Thanks EurOP. I've gotta try to make Kamiyama for my next D&D campaign because that lad is the peak of Paladin Bullshit Artist.
So, did Kamiyama manage to reform the delinquents of Cromartie?
>>287748301Thank you so much OP, I loved reading this with /a/. It's a great manga and was a very fun time. I will be sure to read it on my own again some time in the future. I think my favorite character was Freddie.
>>287747934Holy fuck that's amazing
>>287748301So with hayashida's brother being the editor cromartie exists in this gag meta reality, fun indeed. I really struggled with the devas chapters and enjoyed the ones with the gorilla. It's just the way i am.
>>287747872wtf is going on with the translation in this one
>>287748301Thank you a lot OP. I already started the serie in the past but I never managed to finish it. I am happy to have shared this with you and all the anons here. The manga was overall great, I don't think there was a character I actively really disliked, and Kamiyama was by far the best. Every time he appeared and started talking I was "here we go again".
>>287749389the delinquents were fine, Kamiyama is a bigger problem
>>287748301Thanks OPI really enjoyed this manga, though I don't have that many thoughts about itI will say that I always thought the gag with Mechazawa was that, in universe, everyone also thought he was human. But this manga did manage to get consistent laughs out of me
>>287750124That was the gag, at first. But then it seemed that only Mechazawa himself lived in ignorance
>>287748301Thanks OP. Kamiyama's gaslighting never got old.I actually enjoyed this all the way through.>Yankee-kun to Hakujou GirlThat one is on my backlog so I guess I'll be sticking around a bit longer.
>>287750157It was the gag for a chapter or two, with only Kamiyama noticing that Mechazawa was a robot
>>287747923We got one last one in before the end.
>>287748301>Yankee-kun to Hakujou Girl (Love's in Sight)I decided to read a few chapters of this just now, and I am already hooked. It is really cute and rather funny. I look forward to reading along with you all.
>>287750712>reading ahead
>>287747674Relatable
>>287748301Arigatou gozaimashita OP. I've wanted the crohi manga for a long time, and now I have the whole thing
>>287748301great, one of my fav manga kudos for finishing the dump OP
>>287748301thanks OP, I really liked it. I can definitely see why it's considered such a classic. >Did you like this or Asobi Asobase more how is that even a question, asobi sucked balls.
>>287747934GinTamaesque>>287748216Very GinTamaesque and galaxy brained move>>287748301What a nice dude. But the manga became to wordy and formulaic and lost its inital edge and pace, shame it didn't pick up and straight up tried to replace the old cast, their insanities and dynamics were great when they weren't formulaic. Also; losing the idea of using Kamiyama was a mistake. Overall decent manga with A-mazing coversThat said; Hayashida and Masked Takenouchi were top tier and Pootan namek fucking sucked
>>287749027>Jim Davis comics>In 4chen of all thingsI kneel
>>287750733>>287752302
>>287747621Just wanted to say thank you op, I've been here since chapter one.
>>287747934Incredible
>>287748301Actually really solid ending.I liked most of it, really started trail off towards the end. The gorilla was always the best. Funnily enough Asobi also started to lose steam towards the end but more so than this one, so I prefer Cromartie. Thanks OP
>>287748301Thanks OPIt's been a wild runYes I like it, still one of my most favorite manga.Kamiyama is my favorite character and I can't help but disappoint he got lesser and lesser screen time in the late volume.I prefer this in overall, but if I have to put it in detail, it would be chart related
>>287753516I'd say cromartie's peak is quite high
>>287752826>he got filtered by POOTAN-KINOfukin tanked motherfuck
>>287747934>Being told is the last volume>"Hmm I wonder in what way will he end this manga">This is the last episodeTop kek
>>287748040I can't help but laugh when I imagine the process of >This conversation>Lead to this bonus manga>Then the editor comment on it base on what happened
>>287747674>net banchouthis term is way more cool than troll
>>287747934kek. at least it ends with a good joke, i was fearing for the worst after the failed kiss dudes chapters.
>>287748301thanks op. late half of the manga dont lack high and lows but overall i think it never stops being decent enough. otherwise i would have dropped the daily. it was a fun read, thanks again.
>>287747621Thanks OP!
>>287748301The highs of both series were quite high, but I'd give the slight edge to Cromartie on that front. That being the case, Cromartie has the massive advantage since its lows were still pretty damn high, whereas late Asobi was a major slog. The chapter where Kasumi tries out for the choir still sticks out in my mind as the comedy manga equivalent of an Alzheimer's patient having a moment of terminal lucidity. The Supreme Kingpin of Japan himself, Kamiyama, was my favorite character, though they were all stars in their own way. Maede, like all long-suffering straight men in comedy series, will hold a special place in my heart. The Leader of the Four Great Ones really grew on me despite how hit and miss Four Great Ones segments were, especially during the Points System arc. As someone here said, he really came off like an advanced, evil Kamiyama during that arc.Uninteresting anecdote: when the Cromartie dailies first started, I tried to come up with a joke or edit about Cromartie Maede and Asobi Maede switching places, but never figured out how to make it work. Just how life goes.
Best joke: gorillas Worst joke: four great ones
>>287747740Thank you for the storytime(s), OP, and excellent choice for last song.
Even though I wasn't here from the begining, it was fun while it lasted. I ended up creating a dedicated folder for crops
>>287748301Thanks OPI liked this manga, it was funny. My favorite character might've been Hayashida.
>>287747934What a way to end it
>>287747790>The end>>287747934Lol>>287748301Thanks a lot OPKamiyama is the man and regular Takenouchi is close second
>>287748301Thanks for the dump, OP. This was a great series with a big, swampy, wordy middle. The Love Banchou bits were a highlight, and I like Hokuto the most.I'm going to go against the grain and say Asobi Asobase's pivot to gross out yuri was more interesting to me than when Cromartie lost the fastball. I liked the dynamics with the new girls, and would rather a mangaka try something different than fall into a rut. Some of the Cromartie dumps I checked out on while I was at least car-crash fascinated on what was happening to Asobi the entire time.
>>287752826>Pootan namekThe Pootan cast being replaced by local highschool freaks was hilarious
>>287747621OP, dump the sequel series tooThere're only four chaptersYou have to do it
pootan sucks but pootan chapters were good.
>>287756223hayashida mom-type post
>>287747934Honestly the best way this could have ended.
>>287756195>he really came off like an advanced, evil Kamiyama during that arc.that explains so much.
>>287747934I guess I'm in the minority in saying that this was a shit last chapter.
>>287748301I guess for the first and list time, I should say my thanks too.
>>287748301thanks, OP. I really liked it. I think I liked Hayashida, his jokes landed well while Kamiyama's conversations were great. I like Maeda's gags, and, while I never really enjoyed the 5 (maybe 4, doesn't matter) Kings as characters, some of their topics were fun.Definitely better than Asobase, it never developed into dumb melodrama with characters never worth caring about.
Stop being mean to Asobi
more like kusobi kusobase
>>287748301Thanks op. I've been reading from the start but this would be my first comment. My favourite character was regular takenouchi, a pity he didnt show up after a while. My favourite gag was the graffiti one.I think Nona shouldve stuck with the main cast, especially Kamiyama. I wouldve liked to have seen them interact with the other schools as well. Thanks for dumping.
I liked the Four Great Ones.
>>287762508some chapters were great, their last one wasn't
>>287762508I wouldn't know, I started skipping those chapters after a while
>>287762508More like Four Mediocre Ones
>>287761937
>>287762508>the four really-funny-chapters-when-used-sparingly-ones
>>287748301Thanks OP, loved it!For me it's Cromartie over Asobi mostly although both had their moments.
>>287748301Thank you for the storytime, OP. I've seen the anime several times but this was my first time reading through the entire manga. I liked this better since it was more clever and cerebral. If Hayashida was a gorilla he'd be my favorite character.
>>287762508I think the main idea that there's 5 of them is the most hilarious part. I wouldn't say I hate them, but a bunch of their chapters were rather uninteresting.
>>287748301Thank you. I actually read ahead at some point because you posted way too fucking slowly but you got me to revisit this great manga.Favorite character was Fujimoto, his chapters made me realize how little the internet has changed in over 20 years.
>>287758137I support this anon's proposal
>>287764901This guys chapters were always fun and screencappable
>>287753902>filteredIt sucked.>>287758137>there's a sequelMaybe they remembered Kamiyama was supossed to be the main character and was king bancho
Favorite arc?
>>287747934lol
>>287771811Gorilla.
Freddie isn't feeling well...
>>287771811Sumo
>>287748301thanks for posting, op. great and hilarious manga. my favorite character has to be kamiyama, easily. he had a pretty funny arc of slowly becoming an evil mastermind. my favorite arc is the train arc, followed by sumo. my main gripe with the manga is that a lot of the cast is replaced by generic delinquents as the manga goes on
>>287771811Banchou
>>287771811Underground monkey society
>>287779365
>>287779616Hayashida developed a monkey complex.
