Though I have also been thinking that I might need to go back to the 2010's and dig deeper, because I've also seen a lot of people complaining that music and that videogames have become shit in the last decades but I have literally never stopped finding a lot of incredibly good songs and games newly released each year; thus, I realized that both music and videogames have always been in a golden age since they came to be, and the only thing that changed was that the mainstream culture started promoting crap instead of the good things, so to find the gems you have to put in a bit of effort instead of just being spoonfed what the culture recommends.Realizing this makes me think that I have not put in that effort for 2010's anime; it was when I started and pretty much only watched what the normal niggers consider good (some examples Madoka, Jojo, Nichijou, Kill la Kill, Konosuba, etc.) and they were all either lame or just okay but never good. It was only until the 2020's that I realized that whatever the normgroid are flocking to is to be avoided, so perhaps if I go over the 2010's season by season with this outlook I might find that anime has also always been in a golden age, perhaps...

the last few years definitely made up for the awful run that was 2012-2022. truly the worst era of anime by a landslide. still a sizeable amount of more bad than good but that's everything in life.
