Think it’s pretty weird the elephant in the room hasn’t been addressed at all. Let’s say Mizuhara goes on all these dates she hasn’t(?) gone on before. She finishes her play, kisses Umi with Beret on and whatnot. Kazuya confesses again. Now what? Does she keep going on dates with him forever while other girls hover around like some sort of pests? I fail to see the endgame here since their situation is starting to turn out a lot like Cuckoo except it’s going forever and not ending. At the very least I think at some point Mizuhara is going to start getting bored of walking everywhere. There’s not really much happening between these dates to the reader they all look the same, follow the same structure, and they are entirely predictable without any stakes besides another No being thrown out. It’s just not exciting unless there’s more public humiliation or another drowning incident for the sake of these dates not being flat out boring. Because it is. It’s more exciting if it’s not just the two of them talking after all because they can’t even carry a conversation to save their relationship much less have proper character interactions. It isn’t even a will they/won’t they at this point. It’s a can’t/won’t/shan’t/will not while one of them goons at their fantasies for all eternity. Honestly? Fantasy Mizuhara seems like a much better date than Real Mizuhara. At least then she would get to the point and maybe be an actual character instead of someone walking around like a walking statue. Kazuya’s Better Man character assassination arc isn’t really going to change this. Their dates are not really going anywhere besides the fact that it’s going in one gigantic circle right back to square one. This is really why the sales are falling/have fallen.
