Alright I think I figured out now what happened with Megumi and how it correlates to why Yuji only fucked off after Hana died.Megumi and Hana obviously get together as per his promise at the end of the original series. However, Megumi couldn't get rid of his cuckold desires thus later on he left a message/last will telling how Yuji needs to marry/take care of Hana then "killed" himself (actually he just stayed hidden in the shadows). Yuji had to fulfill Megumi's last request so he did get together with Hana until she died then he could finally leave. Megumi was satisfied with what he saw so he finally actually killed himself by trying to tame Mahoraga one more time.
