If you wanted to say senpai, you'd actually see 前辈 or 学姐, whereas kouhai is usually 学妹.As an aside, the lack of 1:1 "-san" in Chinese has led many fans to just transliterate "-san" as 桑 which you'll see in many comics and fics.
