this arc is taking way too long, all those flashbacks should have been half their lengthit was an interesting fake out ending with the monster showing up, but the pace is insanely slow and sluggish right now given how many chapters this arc is getting, i just want it to end desu

The lock monster Mira and Nona fought must've been inside Mira's shackles. They've been programmed to follow certain orders but their original personality still shines through sometimes. Lock monster was probably a teacher, this guy seems to have been a police officer or jailer.Normal wands are a pure manifestation of a mage's magic.
