Same with Golden Boy iirc.Tokyo Megalopolis just now got some restoration, but I'm not even sure if it's good or just an upscale of a blurry dvd version.Another one is Hajime, Melos, with great animation and no proper restoration. Same with Tree of Palme etc...

The original film stock is badly degraded so it needs color correction, and every new release has terrible upscaling, denoising, and sharpening applied. They've had crowdfunding campaigns to make a proper release and they did a shit job as I recall. The fan remasters by Seed of Might and Kineko Video are the best there are.
