What is it about HxH worldbuilding that makes it so good? It's a hodgepodge visually, tonally, in every way possible, but it's still one of the most believable anime universes ever
Hunter x hunter is over.
>>287830439Imagine liking shonenslop
i thought you where talking about Masou Gakuen for a second and didnt realise you meant Hunter HunterAnyways whats your favorite girl?Mine was osirisIve never read the full novel i just skiped to the sex scenes any other lns similiar to this?I already read Shinmai Maou
>>287830439The world building is the weakest part of HxH. It's literally just whatever Togashi feels like doing at the moment. He just jams in enough autistic details that you don't have time to question how completely incoherent the setting is on the whole.
>>287830439>What is it about HxH worldbuilding that makes it so good?trying to fit in?
>>287830439Probably because of nen
>>287830439it looks cool but it is really basic. one piece is basically the same but bigger and it feels like oda thought about it a little bit earlier
>>287832354op worldbuilding felt kind of small outside of the government stuff, new whacky island #25 and whatnot
>>287830439>omg this shonenslop is so original!watch more anime, tourist
>>287830852lewd
>>287830439>believable lmao
>>287830439Togashi himself said he doesn't give a shit about worldbuilding and only retards care about it anyways.
>>287830439Slop
I've seen the worldbuilding and power system being praised so constantly, I have never seen people say anything about the story
Is it just me or has the hype for the succession war died out completely?Togashi made an anouncement yet no one seems to give a shit...
>>287832749You're illiterate, read more faggot
>>287830439The world building isn't good though? Just like the nen hexagon has a "whatever doesn't fit the other 5 catchall section" because he couldn't pick 6 attributes and stick to it.
>>287830439>It's a hodgepodge visually, tonally, in every way possibleThe vast majority of battle shounens are like this, anon.
>>287839399>>287840508I'm not talking about the power system, but the fact this rickety ass mirrored Earth map actually feels like a place where serious shit happens even outside the main cast's adventures >>287840554Yeah but their worlds feel like temporary stages built only for the battles to take place, whereas you could believe a random trivial character like Zepile actually has shit going on his life outside the main cast fights
>>287840575thats what you think but togashi didnt prove the world is big nor interesting yet.
>>287830439>but it's still one of the most believable anime universes everIt's a globetrotting adventure where there's always some reason to go to some new unfamiliar place and then return to a familiar one. They head to Yorkshin to bid on the Greed Island game, which is where they encounter the Kumo. Then they head to Greed Island, which the Kumo realize is a real place that exists somewhere and sail to. From there Gon heads to Kaito's location thinking it might be his dad, which is halfway around the world. But as part of Kaito's work they actually return all the way to the auction house in Yorkshin before heading to the country where Chimera Ant actually takes place. They don't forget about old locations when introducing new ones, which makes it seem like an interconnected world, and not a video game where you go from level to level and completely forget about a location each time an arc ends, like a lot of other of this type of manga.
I like how you can have the modern Yorknew coexist with this cool fantasy tier place
