Some fruitless talking later and then everything explodes or there's a wave of fire that knocks Subaru out. He wakes up in a sewer with Crusch and Betty tending him. Crusch grabbed him and avoided some damage but he's still pretty burned and she retreated to the sewer. They talk a bit, Crusch's reasoning leaves quite a bit to be desired and seems a lot more like self-serving schizo babble, but she tables the discussion to say they need to move because they're being pursued. Tiga and the royal guards are after them for the murder of Miklotov and the chapter ends. No idea if Subaru and Betty are under suspicion now or if they'd be considered hostages Crusch ran off with.
