TL: On a personal note, my own younger sister used to call me by my name rather than "Onii-chan". The reason I had Mikan call Rito by his name, despite her cheeky personality, was because that felt more natural given my own perspective on siblings. (By the way, in the script for the first chapter written by Hasemi-san, Mikan was a more traditional younger sister character who called Rito "Onii-chan.") Chapters like Mikan teasing Rito or the snowman from their childhood are based on hints from my own real-life experiences. ...Well, in the case of my household, unlike the Yuuki siblings, I have more memories of us fighting!!
