When Deku's harvest occurred, the vestiges inside OfA protected their own quirks which is why his clone ended far "weaker" than expected. Later, Deku saves the day by pulling his notebooks with all those notes he took about each of their friends & enemies and devises strategies to neutralize the most dangerous clones. Big bad is your Cell Nomu which is the root and reason these clones live. During story climax it absorbs all clones into it and becomes super powerful. They defeat it by wearing it down as a team from the outside and a surprise team from inside it: Clone Deku and Clone Shiragaki. Clone Deku wrangled off Cell Nomu's control after his contact with original Deku and convices the good guys's clones to rebel and wrestle control. Clone Shiragaki does the same with the bad guys but for their own prides and villain way (actual reason is he acknowledges super villains already lost in this era and he will respect that result). Tearful farewells for the ones who were already dead and couldn't properly say goodbye. Lastly, while unnoticed, a symbolic small flame lights up inside Deku from some ashes at the end
