We told that BY VUEKO, who is the one who tried to kill herself, who is the one who considered stabbing Irumyuui to death, who is the one who called the place hell while refusing to look at it.Guardian Juroimoh demonstrates that Irumyuui's thoughts can be shaped by Vueko's thoughts, and the way it moves to oppose Faputa's entry even after being shot by the incinerator shows the Guardian (definitely a part of Irumyuui's system) was opposed to Faputa (who was not). Juroimoh gets shot by Gaburoon AND uses his black-souls attack on Faputa - who transmogrifies the souls from black to white, showing a flipping of valence and of control.If Irumyuui and Juroimoh both have to be violently attacked, if the balancing has to be reappropriated and flipped in colour to be used by Faputa, then surely this is someone else's agenda other than Irumyuui herself? And then the obvious candidate for that is Vueko. We never actually see Irumyuui being resentful or angry or homicidal, it's Vueko who exhibits those. So Faputa is Irumyuui's child, but with Vueko's agenda. Faputa was Vueko's weapon.

Irumyuui's wish was obviously to be a mother. Vueko was the motherly sage: her wish was to save and nurture everyone, which corrupted Irumyuui's and made her babies a panacea. Wazu was the prophet sage: his wish was for their own "golden city," which corrupted Irumyuui's and turned her into the village. Belaf was the righteous sage: his wish was to be consumed by Irumyuui to atone, which corrupted hers and created the value system as a rule of order and morality, plus the need to devote their bodies upon entering.I think Irumyuuui wished on the second egg relic to reclaim her own wish from everyone who corrupted it, by destorying their wishes through her own death. This took the form of a final fulfillment of her wish for a child, one who could carry out that task. It's a metaphor for pinning your hopes on the next generation, which Irumyuui perpetuated by instilling Faputa with a hatred she could not understand and didn't want, robbing her of agency just as the Ganja squad did to Irumyuui. It's a self-perpetuating cycle just like the cycle of the abyss, and all cycles need to be broken (that's why the Final Maelstrom looks like a ring). Riko squad will fulfill all of this in the last layer.Also Juroimoh was the result of Irumyuui getting access to Veuko's memories. We don't see Irumyuui being resentful because by the time she would have a reason to, she already lost all her ability to emote. I don't think we ever see Veuko that way other than towards herself either, otherwise she would have lashed out at Wazu. Irumyuui had plenty of reason to despise everyone else on her own. Veuko is only there at the end because her suffering is her powerlessness; her sin was inaction, so now her punishment is to be a bystander to the consequences. Faputa being her desires manifested would contradict that.

I just beat Binary Star Falling into Darkness. I probably would have gotten sick of the third layer without help from this thread (a previous iteration) so thanks a lot! I really enjoyed the fourth and fifth layers even if Bondrewd's involvement felt kinda tacked on. Unlike Ozen he's mostly there for fanservice and as a roadblock so you don't just tear through the fifth layer straight to the ending, which is kinda what he does in the actual manga. The area itself is excellent. Anyone with vertigo should avoid the Water Crystals areas at all costs but in my case it was thrilling. I like how the post game boss's collection of artifacts keeps his body moving after you kill him. That was metal as fuck. I would have liked to see more of him in general.. I only wish it was longer or had a sequel.

I thought Prushka being there would lead to some weird twist but no it's just a video game and everyone has to show up at least once because video games continuity be damned. The Riko and Reg sidequests are like that as well but Idofront was the only time it took me out of the game for a moment. It felt like they were planning to develop the characters and story more but ran out of time for that later in development. At first you're regularly interacting and working with other Orth delvers and you feel like you're part of a little community and that there's a story being built up but then the story gets sidelined until the very end, by then the side characters are all irrelevant and all your sidequests are just "kill/gather x times." Even the final main quest is just gather x artifacts for Bondrewd before the story suddenly becomes relevant again for the final boss and postgame boss. They definitely prioritized the raw gameplay over a complete story and I think I prefer that over a barely realized Abyss where the side characters stay important. It really pulls off everything I wanted a delving game to be. But they actually pass you in the third layer and you just don't see one another. Which would require them to have left the seeker camp and descended into the third layer before Aki arrived, and then hung around somewhere in the upper part of the layer, get passed by Aki, then start descending again and pass Aki.
