I read the first few chapters when the manga first started but for some reason never continue. Just caught upPlus:- Evil women, Bro men. Generally variety on the good to evil scale.- Characters are good, you care about them (Ms. Lacy and Altus must be happy OR ELSE)- Good plot and intrigue, suspenseful.Minuses:- Very noticeable powerlevel creep (Arkos particularly but it feels like the sky is the limit and the mangaka will have to resort to nonsense and/or contrived writing to keep the plot's logic from being directed by out of control powerlevels and abilities)- Not very much world building, but the time has been used on the characters instead.- Fights often contain interesting abilities but are clumsy and the fighting itself somehow boring, they're often saved from snooze tier by the bits of mid-fight development.The characters are the main factor in my enjoyment of this manga, so I don't begrudge how they've been written and how much time has been spent exploring ones removed from the 'main' group. But it feels like there are an awful lot of characters in a manga which still evidently has many to be introduced, and if those are to be successful they must be built and developed to a similar degree to the ones we already have. I found it somewhat difficult to keep track of the details of each character, their current schemes and status and allegiances as well as their histories as the manga progressed. Not very, but I sometimes had to stop and think a moment to try and remember points crucial to a complete understanding of whatever current event. I suppose this is, in large part, because there are few characters in the manga you don't care about and who are not worth remembering. I feel like this will have to be a long manga now, or else it risks feeling incomplete if it doesn't trace all the threads to some kind of an end.

I love this manga and I binged it on the same day to fully catch up, but I'm genuinely confused on the direction where it's heading (besides how chaotic it's going to be). Which is good of course. A lot of different factions where different goals, future prediction shenanigans, and overall the amount of subplots and backstories not revealed yet. Is there any predictions on how many chapters manga might have until it's epilogue? I'm gonna guess around 250 chapters.

As for why it's not bigger, well, it started as obscure as you can get and the subject of the manga being misery porn doesn't lend itself to broad normalfag popularity. "Dark Fantasy" is not exactly very popular in Japan in general, even big stuff like Berserk or let's say Vinland Saga are not particularly big sellers, doing barely over 150k at best. Look at Bugle Call which sells so poorly we don't even have its sale figures. Tower Dungeon not a big seller as well even from a famed author. Basically there's no reality in which Centuria is a big commercial hit in Japan. For what it is, it's already extraordinarily popular without any marketing push. Even with the anime I doubt it would go over 10k, or will plateau somewhere around there.
