Just done reading Dungeon Meshi and absolutely loved it. Just like a great dish all its ingredients are perfectly balanced and excellent quality; great characters, story, setting, drawings, pacing, themes. Everything.What other manga would you recommend to fill the void left by DM?

One I feel it has a similar vibe is pic related, rpg esque world, the MC is a blacksmith that wants to make all the impractical and absurbd weapons you see on videogames, while the whole world is more grounded on what a weapon should be, but she finds work in doing special weapons for unique individuals or for special jobs, her first job is helping a thief that wants to kill a golem that is guarding previously unknow treasure room before anyone else can ge it but the golemcs armor is far too strong with no weakpoints, the MC ends developing a pule bunker for the thief.

One second of the dish, then a quick grab with chopsticks in what's supposed to be a western fantasy setting, and yeah, immersion completely DISINTEGRATES right there. Even if there's an eastern nation nearby, it still doesn't stand as an excuse. There are things...rules, boundaries, principles, codes standards, creeds you just can't cross. Then it's straight into chewing and some dead, phoned-in "wow this is so good." The dialogue is flat, the eating scenes are lifeless, there's no weight, no texture, no hunger in it. The only thing that had any spark was the cooking itself. But that's not enough. If you're making a food anime, the food has to look irresistible. That's the whole point. And this just doesn't deliver. Honestly, it feels completely overhyped.

Usually they are soulless slop cookie-cutters. There are some exceptions where there's an author that actually tries to do something interesting instead of just reshuffling cliches and gimmicks.
