Fede (an Italian) was the initiator along with Blou (a Belgian), working as the producers, managing the communication between freelance animators and the Japanese studios like CloverWorks (for WEG, Bocchi the Rock) etc. Later Fede and Blou made the studio official and registered it as a business in Europe, and they started taking contracts from other studios like TOEI, CloverWorks, etc. Blou later left because Fede was being unprofessional and gaslighting him that the situation was okay. The staffs are foreign and Japanese animators, compositor, inbetweeners, shiage, background painters etc. Now, the future of ButaPro is pretty much finished. But some animators said that Japanese studios that have been working with ButaPro will continue to hire the animators under freelance contracts (not as ButaPro animators). This is quite a blow since I know some Japanese studios have made contracts with ButaPro, and now Fede ran away from internet, ghosting all the Japanese producers.
