That's almost everything with Dragonball. Americans got some weird "badass" soulless music for the entire thing, not just GT. I feel bad for them when they show people their "rock the dragon" like it's supposed to sound good.
I get being nostalgic about it, but growing up, having access to the internet, and still coping about the stuff you happened to see first... weird.
And the worst part is that everything is an Us versus Them thing, so they see it as "Our Music, Motherfuckers" rather than a thing that happened to them.

No idea about other areas, but Latin America usually got the same music, openings and endings dubbed if the show was good, jap version otherwise.
The one localized version I remember is that weird Spaniard song for Saint Seiya, and some latinos glaze the shit out of it. I find it terrible.

Dragonball'a music scores always had weird stories behind them. The Japanese Z and game scores were heavily plagiarized since it ripped off from multple other artists from Japan and abroad, the US score was done by 4 guys but Bruce claims only he did it.
