I enjoyed this case despite it's length. It's refreshing to not have Conan there to solve it, despite him explaining almost anything anyway. Also, more focus on the general mystery, who could have done it and specially, why, instead of simply the method of the murders. The break up was too cliche, though, and the bad cops were too dumb to live.

They can technically move, but if they have no other children, and they have no savings, and there is always danger of rumors following them, then quick death would have seemed like sweeter deal than continuing with life into a very lonely and scary old age.
