>>287975975>but still seems more familial on her end.>She doesn't really understand why large knockers would excite Denji.desu i think this is kind of inadvertently hitting on the heart of the matter, the dichotomy that humans have between romance with an implicitly sexual aspect and other types of love that apply to different circumstances. devils don't reproduce sexually or have famlies, so why would they unconsciously divide their thinking that way like a human does? we can plainly see that her offering squeezes to denji is her observing how human sexuality works from the outside without understanding its real fundamentals, but then isn't the same true of the 'found family' structure placed on them? other people place their relationship in a 'sibling' category (maybe including denji himself though i think that point is not near settled) but in my reading there's not any strong indication that she does or even attempts to classify it at all. we can't understand a devil's internal life by just fitting actions into what human archetypes seem closest
