Hiro Mashima sits at a constant bottom line but keeps stating that he will finish the race and keep drawing - this is the only laudable thing about his work, namely, to have established a mid-low bar for what entry level mangas are.

My first foray into Mashima's works was with Fairy Tail so I only read Rave once it had already concluded, but can someone who was following it at the time explain why it didn't get a complete anime adaption? Google tells me it was a strong seller, on par or above modern successful series like Soul Eater, Fire Force & Black Clover. I know Bleach is only just getting its own adaption completed after getting dumped too, but it seems like Rave got dudded hard as far as the anime goes.
