I haven't watched DB/Z since the series ended on American TV when I was a kid. I dropped Naruto in the middle of the chuunin exams. I'm not one of those people that watches 50 anime per season but sometimes something new catches my eye. And while I do watch and read older stuff, reading stuff that's new to me is still different from just rewatching the same safe things because you're afraid to try anything new. My parents for instance are similar with music. They just listen to stations that play the same dozen songs they liked when they were younger and even when older stuff comes on, if it's not something they liked when they were younger they change the station. I hope I never become like that.

Im 29 and nowadays i just find myself watching only the comfiest new anime i find it very relaxing and i don’t understand how or why zoomers feel the need of only watching the most popular shit of the season at X2 speed, most of the stuff i watch gets small threads here with around 10-20 anons and it’s pretty comfy

Naruto and DBZ are attached to some nostalgic/deep part of yourself, which is also healthy to keep in contact with. Working with your inner child is important. And Naruto/DBZ genuinely have some great animation and fight choreography at times, which is great for people of any age to be in awe of and learn from.It's also great to analyze their themes in an adult context. Whether through comparison with your own childhood thoughts, thinking about where the author came from, the reflection and/or impact it had on society, and so on. Don't bother with kid's media out of some internet influenced obligation. Only watch those series if you really want to. If you want to watch them for a desire of dumb fun and cool fights, that's perfectly fine. But don't start thinking that kid's media is a requirement of growth. Don't ever criticize yourself for not wanting to watch hundreds of mind numbing episodes of shonen.

op if you love naruto youd love bleach, just watch up until the soul society rescue arch atleast since its arguably the peak and basically at the beginning anyway. some of the openings are 10/10 to including the first and second. Personally the 7th op is god tier. Grimjow and kenpachi are the embodiment of cool.
It's worth while to try out new anime every now n then though a lot will be shit. I'll go on crunchyroll and just look at whatever looks "cool" to me. I went through a bunch the other day that I just didn't care for and then found jobless reincarnation which I really liked! Can't believe I missed it.
