There's no force reconciliation, no "actually Mommy was just trying to hard." Mom was a bitter shit to the end, and at least seeing her in death gave her enough closure to move on and be a proper parent herself.

The point he's making is that Yucy's behavior is innocent: she causes problems without malice or intent. Her out beauty seems to reflect her inner innocence. But that beauty is, in fact, stolen from Yudy, who physically shrivels and is morally burdened to support it.We can even see this in her last moments. As Yudy suspected, Yucy barely even understands that or why she's dying. All she does is perk up and reach out for her beloved sister on her death bed. Even as she's dying because her sister cut her off, she has nothing but innocent love for her, incapable of understanding that this is what Yudy wished for.Of course, the procedure was inevitable. Either Yucy was cut away and died, or they would both certainly die. And it's not as if Yudy's frustration and cruel desires were born out of her being evil. Yucy was genuinely a burden on her. But the story is about the vague and inescapable injustices of the world. This situation was entirely unavoidable. The emotions involved entirely without blame. But Yudy still can't stop crying over the loss of it all. She has everything she ever wanted and now misses the person who had to die to achieve it.
