He's not wrong though. A lot of comics make the mistake of leaning too hard into the literary side instead of allowing the images handle the visual side of the story so that what is written is limited only to what works in the context of what needs to be explained beyond visuals.

"Show, don't tell" might as well not exist anymore; everything is explained, the characters make sure to exposition every detail about their mental state, and we're constantly told how their relationships work, instead of, y'know, seeing it. It's like a reading a story populated exclusively by primitive AIs.
