And the reason she comes back to life is because she uses it after Momo stole all her built up power. Of course people have some obvious theories what was in the flask which seemed to be refilled right after she went hunting all the citizens in town.Other small details in this chapter are things like Momo cutting off her arm to not be effected by Suika's evil magic, the pain keeps her mind sharp. Of course Itou had to be careful with how she portrayed it since its a Kirara manga, if the anime ever gets here its definitely getting censored. Also everything Momo has said about her backstory and "the institute" was a lie, since its just something Joshua made up. Sakura just wanted Momo out of town and tried to get rid of her, with good intentions, but Momo ended up coming back because Joshua couldn't erase the good memories.
>>288046054So where did momo live the first time she left tama
>>288045401I think the localizer really fucked up using the words "gods" in this series just because they didn't want to make it singular, which tells me they aren't paying attention to the lore. Of course what she's saying isn't accurate, but how she said it was very important which the translator most likely messed up.
>>288046083She went on a journey with Mikan and some other girls to do magical girl things. It was a journey where she made a lot of "friends" traveling the world. We know it apparently happened at some point, which is how she met Budo and various other magical girls.

Most people don't think about it right away, but how did Suika who lost her body and was drained of 99% of her power manage to escape town? >>288045181>Momo's memoriesmomories
>>288046916Well we don't know how old sakura actually is. She's friends with suika who is over 1000 years old
Should be obvious but Momo is depressed because she basically lead to everyone in town being killed and forgotten by handing over the dark office to Suika, which allowed Suika to track down all the hidden demons, even though she was under the control of a wish so she couldn't have gone against it anyway. Her naivety is what allowed her to be used by someone evil like Suika without thinking they might be evil, so Momo always chastises Shamiko for her own naivety. Suika abuses wishes in order to accomplish everything, the only way to overcome it is blowing through a different wish to negate it. Momo refuses to forget her sins even if everyone else forgets, but she's also never had to come face to face with her sins directly yet either. Also the fact she used all the wishes that came from Sakura using Shamiko's dad (which shamiko didn't actually care about, Shami and her dad are the "use it if you need it" types). Joshua doesn't even care about being used as a footstool daily.
So now momo is a Russian bioweapon who helped genocide tamas demon population? No wonder she was depressed before she met shamiko
>>288046976Can't wait for momo to find out her friend anris siblings were killed and forgotten, that one will hurt
It's always slavs who ruin everything.
>>288047000Well its not like Momo remembers half of that information. Although the fact she doesn't remember it ironically might make her more depressed. Happy memories and sad memories, being made to forget it all, even if you think its for the best might be wrong.
>>288045674This one is speculation, dont take it too seriously. I don't think it's been revealed anywhere and the official tl is also as good as it gets
>>288047032>Don't take it seriouslyIts not absolute, but even then its just reading the scrambled text and making a few light assumptions for the more scrambled parts, you can see the TL xxxxxx'd out anything that couldn't be made out easily. Which isn't that impossible in the raws.>Official TL is as good as it getsWe know this is wrongHoly shit the translation is phoned in sometimes. Which we've pointed out over and over. This is the same TL that refuses to fix Lilith being 45,000 years old. I get they don't really care since this is a small time series but still its annoying.
>>288046976i imagine high level magic girl combat (which considering how bloodthirsty momo described other magical girl might not be too uncommon) are all a either who can strike first or who has more wishes, there isn't much counterplay to someone wishing you dead than using wish yourself
>>288045401>Biblically accurate mahou shoujo
>>288047116I don't think most people killed millions of mazoku like Suika, where they can blow wishes like candy.
>>288046812> A single great demonI mean this is one of those cases where japanese don't actually specify whether it's singular or plural
>>288047153In fact, sealing a high level mythological tier demon that gives you a bunch of points is incredibly rare in the modern day, or impossible to find outside of this hidden little town. The most you'll find outside the barrier are likely small time demons. Suika said Sakura managed to secure a bunch of top class demons in this town hidden away. Demons are genocided so much outside the barrier that the most you'll find are things like Shirozawa occasionally. If wishes were easy to get magical girls wouldn't be so blood thirsty.
>>288045614I'm always surprised that official translations almost never do that and sometimes the audience is just missing context without it.
>>288046812
>>288046528>you know shamiko, i used to do many things with your father, i used to grab him and throw him to floor and have my way with him, you always hear about horns being called handle bars and understand right away what purpose do they serve but its a different experience grabbing them yourself and mastering them in the heat of the moment, the neighboors used to call the police on us not only for the sound of a child size object hitting the floor very hard but also for the crying, screaming and pleas of your father telling me to stop which in turn made me go harder and repeat the cicle of screaming, i used to get very hot when i hear your father sobing and hear him say "she is just drunk, she is not always like" and i almost giggle at the thought of assaulting him once more during those moments, i never did it of course cause he will know i was fully concious all the time and it will finally broke him thus losing the fun of doing it in the first place, he used to grab the ancestor statue while we were doing it always asking for help and i would laugh, only now that lilith is out i get horny at the thought of raping your father once more in from of her while she cries and tries to stop me but is powerless to do so, maybe once your father is out i should let lilith have a taste of him from myself and make your father have his warmfull conection with her>anyway be grateful momo is a bottom cause my karma will haunt me for the next 12 generations of my descendants and you woudnt be able to stop her

Suika is thematically opposed to ShamoSuika says no matter how much pain happens, as long as you forget about it, its like it didn't happen. Also she believes everyone should stop existing because life is suffering. Suika's catchphrase is "Kawaisou", she sees everything as pitable, everything as sad, everything is miserable, so it would be happier if it didn't exist.Shamo believes painful times are something you should remember, she went through a hard life but she doesn't see any of it as bad or pitiable, she thinks she's lucky even now. Also life is worth living because it isn't just suffering. Despite her hard life she never once saw it as a negative thing, she's glad she's alive and is growing stronger.

>>288047221the reason the barrier started to weaken was also momo, the pot of cards was the foundation of the tree which was maintaining the barrier apparently, the tree needs a large supply of mana to keep up the barrier. Metako says the cards were the corner stone of the barrier, and also Sakura sealed a certain great demon in order to fulfill her goals(which once again puts into doubt what exactly happened on that day back then. Did she seal Joshua and backstab him in order to fulfill her goals, to keep the barrier going. Suika thinks this town was Sakura's garden where she was ripening mazoku, is there any validity to that. To this day we still don't know what they fought. How Joshua ended up sealed, or why Sakura used his cards and then buried them under the tree)Momo used the cards and the barrier started dying, in the very next chapter Shamiko says the tree already started to whither. Everything that happened in the town all resulted from momo's single mistake, even though she hasn't realized it yet. But I don't think anyone would blame her, metako told her to use the wishes under the tree.

Gusion can predict the future a bit(which is useless if suika just wishes to find her), she realizes someone is messing with the barrier lately, so gusion went into hiding and was using the mask to hide her identity and also it increased her tension/excitement. Gusion wasn't aware of any memory wipes but her senses told her something bad was happening and she needed to hide.Momo's memories are surprisingly intact except when it comes to one demon in particular, it's odd. I'd chalk it up mostly to the Russian experiment thing mostly. However that doesn't explain why her memories are particularly effected when it comes to one thing that stands out.

Shamiko suffered but she toughed it out and one day found hope, momo suffered but the day came where she found meaning In her life, each character suffered but they didn't give up and eventually found happiness. The entire theme of the story is to not give up at suffering and feel that it's easier to end everything, and that you shouldn't end it all for everyone else. Hope only comes through belief and keeping strong in the darkness, kingdom hearts. The point of this story is the reverse of Evangelion, you should keep going and find hope. For every character they kept going to find it one day.

>>288048918Of course notGo back and read Sakura and Joshua dealt with "something"Sakura went into Shamiko and fell asleep saying "the town should be safe for the next few years, it's fine"Sakura believes whatever they dealt with was over. According to shirozawa whatever they dealt with would be like a natural disaster, she told all the mazoku in town to stay inside for a few days During the gap when Sakura went missing, Suika who has gone crazy showed up at the town and started hunting the demons for points so she could start the instrumentality plan (take everyone back to the primordial ooze)This was not part of Sakura's plans

>>288046638I don't think its a real placeI think her memories were rewritten and she was sent away, but they didn't account on her ties to the town being this strong so she just ended up coming back after a year. She says she was sent back where she lived before, but we know that's a lie. Momo unfortunately is an unreliable narrator for anything that came before she was sent away.

>>288048744>>288048801That depends on how the seal built, but its perfectly natural for Suika to think that killing is more merciful than sealingThe problem is that Suika immediately assumes that Sakura acquired those cards from killing demonsSakura just doesn't seems to be the type to kill demons so its weird for Suika to immediately assumes that
>>288049308>but its perfectly natural for Suika to think that killing is more merciful than sealingConsidering the story is about the opposite message, not really. Its clear Suika is in the wrong, killing random people you meet is bad actually. I don't know why this is controversial but genocide is actually a bad thing. If you're sealed you at least have hope of surviving and being unsealed one day. Joshua and Lilith are waiting peacefully for that day to come.
>>288049009There's still something terribly shady with Suika overwriting Sakura's nameplate with hersSo she at least knows that Sakura is no more
>>288045245So was she saying anything important here or just stuff about the registry?
>>288049162>>288049244ITOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>288049338I don't think she does, but she does imply she knows about Momo's memories being rewritten, which is odd. Suika knows Sakura is alive, otherwise she wouldn't waste wishes on Momo finding her, however she knows she can't be found easily, the barrier is preventing it, Suika can't get around the barrier. Which is why she was manipulating momo. Suika spending time in the town was able to slowly locate the weak points in the barrier where its ability to manipulate fate was at its weakest, where she could hunt mazoku who happened to wander into those areas, but her access to the town was greatly reduced, the town saw her as an enemy, she knew the town wouldn't let her find Sakura. But she thought she could trick the town into having Momo do it for her. There's two things she said that almost made it seemed like she knew Momo's memories were altered.
>>288048516Of course not, Suika's been doing her thing of not eating food out of pity for a thousand years.
>>288049353Scroll down
>>288045284That's bitterly right, she's worse than evil.
>>288045225>>288049386In fact its in the same page that she says she "found demons in the town" that it implies the demons "told her" Sakura hasn't been around lately. But you can tell Suika knows Sakura is still out there somewhere, otherwise she wouldn't blow wishes on it. You gotta read between the lines with her a lot, she explored the barrier and found weak points and "talked with a bunch of upset demons about sakura" according to her own biased definitions.
>>288049323I mean that in the sense of>its perfectly natural for someone as broken as Suika to think like thatShe literally said that she kills to release them from their suffering after all, of course for her sealing was never an optionHer thinking that Sakura thinks like that is the problem
>>288048963I think they want the translation to have "kill" at the end for the effect. Happens naturally in Japanese, a bit forced in English.
>>288045416What a terrifying presence. I feel like it's going to come after me.
>>288047497>>288047613it was a little noncanon bonus chapter Ito put out when she was too debilitated to draw a full chapterwasn't included in the tank release it seems
>>288045284omnicide is evil no matter the road to it. At least she isn't an up her ass nihilist.
>>288045373>the mascot is completely helpless to stop Suika's rampageDamn the light clan really should have added an emergency option for batshit magical girls.
>>288049434Not him but it is ironic that a chapter where "phrasing" is a plot point, the way its phrased creates a small difference. In official TL its like "I made sure they never suffered when I killed them" which makes it sound like killing them is just a secondary thing. While in the other TL "I killed them so they wouldn't suffer" implies she views life itself as suffering which is why she killed them, so they wouldn't have to suffer any longer. Its all about her idealogy. The first translation makes killing just something that sorta happens on the way to her goals, while the other translation she sees death as necessary in order to avoid further suffering.
>>288047827oh hey it's the spork dork
Machikado Mazoku or the the stoic journey of a seemingly wimpy girl was not so wimpy after all.
>>288049386>be suika>knows Sakura is alive>goes out of her way to her town to provide "salvation">didnt find her>ransack her place>claim her place and putting name on it>get blocked by barrier>still literally advertising her position to everyone involved by signaling position of her HQ (by putting name on it)Either she's arrogant as fuck, or she's severely underestimating Sakura's and the barrier powerLike, what if the barrier doesn't just manipulate fate but also quite literally open a fate wormhole to trap her inside for eternity or somethingPutting her own nameplate to a place she's staying in the middle of warzone is a really bas idea
>>288045181Cute
>>288049476She's lived for thousands of years, thousands and thousands of years according to this page>>288045401, since the age of myth. Unfortunately she knows how to manipulate the navigators, she already chained hers up a long time ago so it can't go against her.
>>288049507Look at Suika, she was normal just 12 years agoShe's a very ancient demon(has elf ears), very ancient and powerful. But she was once at least somewhat normal. She's gone so insane that she thinks she can either handle sakura, or sakura would understand why she's doing it. Something happened during the last few years.

>>288045360Why demons? Why only kill demons?Surely life for magical girls is also suffering, no?Surely they also deserves the salvation that is death?Or is her ultimate goal to collect enough points to wish that everything goes back to primordial life?Using points willy-nilly seems like counter-productive for that though
>>288049305It was getting so good too. I can't believe I'm willingly reliving this cliffhanger.
>>288049567She plans to unalive everyoneBut she's starting with the demons because she can use their lives, their souls, drinking them, and converting them into points, gaining enough wishing points in order to undo the entire world basically. She also can't help but find demons more pitiable.
>>288049556It could be some kind of true sight thing though that probably falls under non-linear time perception.
>>288049537>she was normal just 12 years agowas she?I thought that was just because she's not facing against demonsAnd if that's the case, just what the fuck happened in that 2? years that would eclipses her 1k+ years of experiences
>>288049655She was normal enough Sakura could still work with her, she was weird but not really evil back then.
You are now aware that MOMO'S ARM IS TORN OFF in the vol 6 cover art
>>288049603If her goal is to accumulate points, she's been wasting those too carelesslyThere's been no sign of her trying to preserves even a little bit of those points she so painstakingly acquiredShe used a whole one card just to ask Momo and Metake to "come here" after all, even though she's still somewhat in Momo's favorIf her goal was just to silence Metako, she could just wish for Metako's "rest" from afar after all, instead of asking them to "come here"
>>288045496>someone new and wonderful who can be your reason for living>shot of ShamikoSubtlety is for cowards.

>>288049703Except if she gets what she's after it's like dropping 5 bucks on a lottery ticket that wins you millions
>>288049703Gotta spend money to make money, especially if she thinks Sakura has a hidden stash buried somewhereThe indication she was doing it all for the points is right here >>288045373Its not perfect reasoning but you can tell she wanted it
>>288049670>gusion transparent leg>uriel>suika shadow version holding sakura jarFucking ITOOOO

>>288049742I blame whoever decided to change the rewards from gold/currency to "wishes"
>>288049719I get the reason of her few first wishes of "may momo meet whoever she wants to meet" and such, but she also wasted way too much outside of the essentials>>288049720I thought that page was saying that she actually knew from Uriel that the jar held the core of the barrier and thus her (short-term) goal is to destroy it
>>288049819She asked her to hand over the treasure trove, and didn't want her wasting it. Suika wanted those cards.
>>288049489Can't believe this is the first spork dork of this whole thing
I would seal Shamiko and Momo into sexdolls of themselves. The familiars can keep the points for all I care.
>>288049819>I get the reason of her few first wishes of "may momo meet whoever she wants to meet" and such, but she also wasted way too much outside of the essentialsA wish card is what 6 serizawas? She used kike 10 max and Tama was 10% demons. If Tama has just 666 people she already is up
>>288049847I would use the points to wish that one sex doll is forced to jack off on the cuck chair while I plow the other.
>>288049482"I killed them so they wouldn't suffer" implies moreso to me that she believes death is preferable to getting sealed, especially since it was a direct reaction to Momo asking about her sealing people. In her speech >>288045360 I think she shows that she knows that positive things exist and that people can have happy lives, but thinks that there will always be suffering that the happiness of others is built on, and rather than taking the good and trying to minimize the bad she would rather reduce it all to nothing. That's also why I don't really agree with the "I killed them to put an end to their suffering" translation either. The mazoku of Tama were probably in a relatively good position, especially compared to the outside, and Suika would have known this. She's well aware that her actions cause suffering where there might have been none, but minimizes it in the way she sees fit as she continues with her goals.
>>288045928The zetsubo will increase until you start getting along with it
>>288047518There is a lot of foreshadowing that could lead to really fucking dark things if Ito feels like it.
there is NO getting off Mrs. Ito's wild ride
>>288050064We are hopechadsThe story got darker as Itou got sicker, but Itou will be healthy again and lead the story back in a hopeful directionShamiko will create homunculus bodies for everyone in town eventually, and gives new bodies to all the spirits trapped in the town, bringing them back to life. Just like she did with Ugaga. A true mazoku doesn't allow reality to stop her.
>>288050111Most the dark stuff that could be still hasn't.Ultimately it's only going to be as dark as she wants it to be, but there is wiggle room and arguments for either case. In the reread I did right before the daily threads I was catching a lot more of it.
>>288050111I think a realistic endgame is Shamiko "befriending" Suika to the point she comes to see the error of her ways, and sacrifices herself to unseal everyone. All the blood of an immensely powerful magical girl who's thousands of years old should be enough for something miraculous after all.And Momo could finally renounce being a magical girl and 100% fall to darkness as the Shadow Mistress' vassal too. Momo getting freedom from having to be strong and letting someone else take care of everything is the happy ending I want for her. Also the ultimate fall is the hottest part of corruption doujins.
>>288050142The realistic endgame is Shamiko dream divining into the total collective unconsciousness of humanity and either turning off or repurposing the magical girl system so it only rewards points for helping people.Shamiko's powers are a no limit fallacy based on what she believes is possible, she's a character who is the weakest, or she's breaking all power levels based on how retarded she is. She churned the chaos of creation using a whisk to give form to pure chaos, because she thinks a kitchen whisk can whisk anything easily. She just has to realize how to go furtherWe already saw in the most recent chapter the trapped souls aren't trapped within Suika, although Suika may be in there with them, they are still alive in the town. Gusion was right about the town being filled with invisible people. Souls are connected, connected through bonds, connected through loved ones, you have a connection to still bring them back as long as Itou is willing to let Shamiko go far enough.I don't think Suika sacrificng herself would be enough after Momo told Metako to neutralize Suika, everything she had was lost, or at least everything that was currently part of herself.

>>288045225Why did my red flag detector just explode?
>>288049882Just how many points she needs for her primordial wish to be granted? Is there even enough demons in the world to gain that many points? What if there's only exactly enough demons to get that many points and by using the points means that the chances of ever getting enough of it is gone?Thats just the basic questions anyone even half-obsessed with accumulating points would think aboutSure she can get 666 serizawas from clearing Tama and Sakura stash, but what if she actually needs 667 serizawas and there's no more serizawa left?If she really cares about points, she won't waste even a single point and will try common deception and/or violence first and foremost at the very leastThat "rest for now" command to Metako? Waste of points when she can just kill Momo insteadThat "both of you, come here" command? Waste of points when she can literally just ask them normallyHeck, now that I think about it, if her goal really is Sakura's stash used as the core, and she doesn't mind using points to get it, there's really no reason for her to call them out and going back the first time Momo and Metako opened Sakura's stash under the treeRather than commanding them to "come here" and then going back, she should've just commanded Momo to "give everything Sakura left behind" immediately right then and there, when Momo still haven't suspected her (much)
>>288050432>Just how many points she needs for her primordial wish to be granted?>Is there even enough demons in the world to gain that many points?
Momo memory is weirdShe remembers all the small-time demons killed by Suika, but she forgets about GusionIf she's immune to Suika forgetful power, she should've remembered GusionIn fact, she still remembers Gusion when the librarian already forgot about her here >288045320So maybe her memory about Gusion was erased by someone/something other than Suika?
>>288050493Might have to do with how they were killed gusion was burned and a page escaped I wouldnt be surprised is part of that specific memory glitch was due to gusion
>>288050070There kinda is
>>288050432She had to get the information out of Uriel first. Several days passed offscreen, you see Momo trying to find demons in the town and noticing they're all going missing. I think Suika underestimates everyone, she looks down on people thinking she knows what's best for them. She prioritized killing demons each day until she realized she had to put a cork in the momo situation.
>>288045320I just realized that she has pointy ears. That can't be normal right?
>>288050488Wow a whole town. Now she's just gotta do that with less demons for the rest of the world with no cards left
>>288049918"Put an end to their suffering" is a pretty common phrase when you're euthanizing a pet, which is similar to the phrase she used in the raws. If there's one thing I don't agree with, it's that the raws use 殺してる instead of 殺した, which implies that she's been doing it for a while and has no plans to stop, which I find even more unnerving.
>>288050493Suika said momo still remembered some things, which implies she forgot some things as well. >>288045348The memory alteration was working but momo cut her arm to use the pain to stop from forgetting any more It's likely she forgot some things
>>288050493Pretty sure Suika didn't bother erasing Momo's memory at first because she thought the peach was on the same page as her. Why would you remove your ally's memories, right? Once Momo revealed that she thinks that killing is, in fact, bad, Suika attempted to wipe Momo's mind.
>>288050514Are we just ignoring the implication that the plain of ashes extended over the whole world?
>>288050514Suikas plan is to erase the world back to nothing. Gusion says it's just the town but that's only as far as she knows, in reality it could be the entire world

>>288050570She needed her to move a few feet from the tree so her evil tendrils could reach her.
>>288045384I'm wondering if Joshua got himself sealed intentionally so the wishing cards could become a weapon to be used
>>288045416So my guess is that just like this chapter had young Momo and the older Momo who could sometimes talk within her own dream to Shamiko, Suika also had her younger version and the older "present" form and that's how she could talk to Shamiko here. Which means that she was also sharing the dream somehow.
>>288045373It looks like it missed, but judging from the next page, it seems this was where Momo got that tummy wound
>>288045542I missed it all those years ago but there are Sakura petals in the third panel there. Given the timing I suspect this is the point where Sakura's barrier acknowledges Shamiko as Sakura's successor.

>>288045271>>288048465Red spider lilies rarely mean anything good in manga, yes.>The most common Japanese name, higanbana (彼岸花), means "the flower of the higan". The term higan (彼岸) itself means "the other shore" or "the distant shore". Originally in Buddhist teachings, this term (pāram) describes "Nirvana on the other shore" after one has traversed and overcome the turbulent currents of worldly desires. However, in popular Japanese culture, this term has been taken to simply mean "the other side of the Sanzu River (三途川, which is the Japanese equivalent of the Styx, the realm of the dead), also pointing to the Buddhist concept of heavenly paradise ("gokuraku jyōdo" / 極楽浄土) where the good souls reside in afterlife. Consequently, this term has a heavy connotation to death and afterlife. In accordance with established traditions, many practitioners of Buddhism in Japan will celebrate the arrival of fall with a ceremony during the autumn higan festival, at the tombs of their ancestors. In order to pay tribute to the dead, red spider lilies, which blooms around this time, are commonly planted on and around grave sites as a part of this ceremonial practice. Japanese people also often use these flowers in funerals. Because of these superstitions and negative connotations, there is a belief in Japan that one should never gift a bouquet of these flowers. Japanese Buddhists attribute the "Lycoris radiata" with the "manjushake" (from Sanskrit's Manjusaka, described in the Lotus Sutra as ominous flowers that grow in Hell, and guide the dead into the next reincarnation); although this usage is more limited in the general society. As such, in Japan, Lycoris radiata, most commonly in the name of higanbana, often appears in Japanese literary works, animes and mangas with connotations symbolizing death, hell, and afterlife. Less commonly, when they appear in these works as the Buddhist Manjushake, they are used with connotations symbolizing purity and reincarnation.

>>288052529Its done almost too well. If anons in this thread hadn't pointed it out, I would never have realised Momo had lost an entire ARM!also I'm guessing that without Shami being there Momo would have stood where she was and got hole'd by Suika's spear attack penetrating the tree in >>288045373Heck until this dump I didn't even notice the puddle of blood under Momo in panel 1 >>288045384 and panel 2 >>288045401
>>288055356And the thing is, it worked in my head. There is this obscure anime I saw, Morita-san wa Mukuchi. When the heroine was feeling needlessly lost, overthinking things and about ready to comically fall into darkness, there was this "monmonmon" onomatopoeia. I thought it's a rare but existing thing but I can't find any trace of it. Seems it was invented by that anime.

Momo's scars are on her side, not center of her torso. Though a later panel shows more craters on the tree trunk than just that one hole, so Suika attacked several times.
>>288045566Thanks OP I don't think so
OhSo that's why Momo's so strong even without magic
>>288057787Nah she just works out 20 hours a day, ironically it's unrelated. Otherwise she wouldn't have has any issue beating up Suika. After tasting defeat for the first time and understanding what it is to be powerless, she became obsessed with muscle training.

>>288056671What the fuck, I didn't even notice Momo lost an entire arm. Suddendly, the first panel in >>288045416 makes more sense. So I guess this could mean that part of Suika has been living inside Momo's regenerated arm all this time, which is how Suika was suddendly aware about Shamiko's existence in a flashback? (writing this as a first-time reader, btw)

>>288064703Every volume has a theme, the first chapter in a volume typically begins with a theme and it ends with the thing happening somehow. The theme of this volume is training arcs, everyone wants to become a beefier demon.Volume 1 started introducing a poor and weak demon, and it ended with her eliminating the money curse, so her family was no longer poor.I can't remember most of the rest of themI think volume 3 started with Shamiko wanting to seduce momo to the darkness, and volume 4 ends with momo becoming Shamiko's subordiante of darkness(temp). Usually the beginning and end of a volume tie together somehow.

>>288064812Shamiko could be a sure-kill demon if she was evil>Rod of sleep>Goes inside their mind and leads them into a never ending dream, or a suicide dream, or a dream to give them various fears that will make them unable to keep fighting properly in the real world.or she could just wait until they fall asleep normally. In the gacha game she tries developing an ultimate attack after consulting various characters, in the end she comes up with a special rod that takes away everyone's desire to keep fighting so they all just give up and go home.It wouldn't be hard for her to rewrite someone's brain more than a bit with a small amount of effort, a little brainwashing is enough. Her power isn't diving into dreams according to Lilith but diving into the subconscious and blah blah blah (momo wouldn't let her explain fully), she can even dive into the subconscious of inanimate objects.
>>288064991Even the power of ultra loud telepathy which can incapacitate any target(even though its a technique she developed by mistake)

>>288064718What's with the weird ring on shamis feet. It can't be socks because she had the toes out
>>288065080Her powers aren't based on mana, her powers are based on whether she thinks something makes sense. She's only balanced out by her low ATK stat, and her pacifist nature. She can do things that entirely break reality without thinking about them, as long as she's pretty sure it works that way. Calling people on the phone in dreams, churning the chaos to recreate Ugallu's soul, erasing all the darkness in chibimomo's soul with a mop and a bucket, as long as she beliefs in herself. Her only weakness is her powers stop working if she stops beliefing. Joshua became strong not because he worked out, but because he stopped worrying about logic.

>>288067804Its not edgy, nor is it wrong, its pragmatic.Sakura was in the war, she created outer heaven, she understands magical girls no matter how magical are in the end are only human, they die the same as any other human(you don't actually die as a magical girl, you become an animal, then you become a gem, and if the gem is destroyed you're eventually reborn in the world). She's bubbly but she's also not naive, both Momo and Mikan say Sakura was a hardass at times, Momo said if she returned to town without permission Sakura might blast her back out.Sakura most likely has a sordid history which lead to her creating Tama town in the first placeMikan took some of Sakura's sniper advice to heart the most, in the dimension arc Mikan also casually mentions how she tags and then hunts down people using those things she put on Shamiko.

>>288067026They are nemesises actually
>>288068629> Magical girls aren't immortal, even Suika dies when her gem shatters. They don't die, they are just dispersed and will condense in the future. Momo could kill her but then changed her wish with intent of shattering Suika's gem. So clearly shattering the gem and killing are two different things. Probably similar to difference between sealing and killing a demon. Secondly, I think Momo actually shattered her gem but something-that-calls-itself-Suika remained despite that. And it isn't that weird since we have soulless familiar with complex personality. With her wish, Momo separated power from the gem and then destroyed the gem. But the power itself remained.
