Often the purpose you'd want to do with a dance being placed in the OP/ED would be to help set the tone of the show or personality of the characters. But it's like they grab some random thing out of a choreographer's portfolio and slap it into a series arbitrarily.
A show like Precure that's a lighthearted series for children the dance ending fits right in, and in a lot of kids shows they specifically use choreography use moves simple and easy to dance along even if the kid hasn't practiced, as that's the purpose of including dance segments. Different target audience and a different tone can easily make a dance segment come across as forced.

For those confused, there is a simple criteria you can use to determine whether something is a TikTok dance:
if the camera doesn't move, and the characters' entire bodies are always within the shot, it is a TikTok dance. If the camera moves, or characters are entering or exiting the frame, then it is likely not a TikTok dance.
The goal of a TikTok dance is for it to be easily and entirely replicable. If you ever can't see what a character is doing, then you have to make shit up, and if the camera is always moving, it's harder to copy. So TikTok dances won't do those things.
