>>288060775Overall I like his stuff. I think Chi no Wadachi is actually one of his best in terms of technique. Some of the parts of the story may have been rough (I thought the cousin showing up in the middle of the night was a stretch) but the craftsmanship in showing the emotional rollercoaster throughout was great.
Made this awhile ago when I binge read his whole bibliography. Still feel the same for the most part. I think people overhype chi no wodachi by a lot when it really has a similar punchline ending as all his other works. Drifting Net Cafe is probably my favorite of them just because I really enjoyed the setting and idea. I think Alice shows he really still has it and it gave a really intimate look into how he feels. 2 most recent works are missing. The Chiichan which was just a promotion. Probably around B tier, and his current unfinished work that feels like a biography, and if so he's an unironic psychopath. A tier so far but subject to change later if it ever finishes.
