I just finished reading this and it seemed decent, but definitely over hyped. I liked Look Back more even if it had similar problems. I did cry at the panel showing Eri’s death at the school festival

I'm gonna take the bait and say.

Goodbye, Eri is ten times better that Look Back, it's perhaprs Fujimoto's magnum opus.

Needs an anime.

I still don't understand the ending
Is she an immortal?
Is he coping and he simply preshot the ending with his dad and eri?
Or maybe the whole thing is made up?

Look Back is a better melodrama but the twist at the end with the random killer felt out of place compared to Goodbye Eri which was more consistent but not as sad to read

I think is this one

The whole thing is a movie, anon.
There's no sick eri.
Remember, real eri wears glasses
That's why it end with explosion.

Why hasn't this been made into a movie yet?

They confirmed the Umi ga hashiru endroll adaptation a few days ago, there's still hope.
